About Cofem
Cofem started its activities in 1973, developing, manufacturing and commercialising fire extinguishing equipment.
In 1982 the Electronic Detection division was created for the development and manufacture of fire detection and alarm systems, starting its own production of detectors and control panels adapted to the needs of the market.
Today, cofem occupies a prominent position among the leaders in the sector, being the only national manufacturer with its own technology that produces the ranges of fire safety, extinguishing equipment and detection systems, thus offering the professional complete solutions.
Cofem is committed to the fire protection sector, as evidenced by the following
sector as demonstrated:
Participating as a member of Tecnifuego, the Spanish Association that brings together companies in the fire protection sector.
Participating in AENOR’s CTN23 (Technical Standardisation Committee), dedicated to the monitoring and development of PCI standards at national level.
Representing AENOR in CEN/TC72, the European organisation that develops the mandatory CE standards under Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 establishing harmonised conditions for the commercialisation of construction products.
All this experience and knowledge is applied to our systems offering competitive technological products, in accordance with all the standards and regulations in force both at national and European level, allowing Cofem to export to countries in 4 continents.
